Pima Club - heirloom wheat of the Akimel O'odham (Pima, River People) is a soft white awnless club wheat variety used for baking breads and pastries which require baking powder as a leaving agent. When roasted, Pima Club is prized by the Pimas for making the finest Haak Chu'i or Pinole. Pima Club Wheat Berries can be boiled and used as a side dish, added to salads or cooked with soups. Add wheat berries to bean soups to make a nutritious meal rich in amino acids. Add them to tepary bean soup to make a delicious Poshol.
